About KSC

Knot So Casual started as pandemic therapy that is today is a collection of approximately 200 pieces of jewelry. The majority is bracelets, anklets and necklaces made with 2 mm satin cord featuring button knots and snake knotting.

I love taking inexpensive plastic, wood, and base metal beads and making them look deceptively deluxe. I also use:

  • Genuine semiprecious stones like sodalite, Amazonite, and onyx
  • Stones I tumble myself, often from Michigan beaches (Lake Superior agates, quartz)
  • Beads made of glass, bone, acrylic, ceramic and more
  • Vintage beads from old jewelry

I make earrings and sun catchers to use up leftover cord and beads, and pony bead bracelets for kids.

I never make the same thing twice, so every piece of KSC jewelry is one of a kind.

The example bracelet here features ceramic turtles, pearlized glass crow beads and mint 2 mm satin cord button knots. It sold for $25.
